The best way to fish with Pirate Spoons is on planer boards with one or two split shots, 75 to 125 feet back. They can also be long-lined with split shots, 100 to 150 feet back, or used on downriggers anywhere from 4 feet to 100 feet (best depth and temperature).

*Spoons are lacquered to preserve the genuine silver finish. Some pros use fingernail polish remover to take off the lacquer and then apply silver polish frequently to the spoons.
